It's early morning, I am on my new specialized venge roadbike. I have my air cartridge ( for flats), my Gu for energy and some bars for carbs and energy with plenty of water. I am in South Carolina on a beautiful country back road. I have been riding on for about an hour. The heat vapors (as I call them) are coming off the hot roads. Fence after fence I glide by beautiful green pastures with the hum of my chain. My legs maintain a beautiful and cadence. As I look on I notice a herd of Black Angus cows. Around 200. They were magnificent.
AH OH ! I spooked them within seconds black thunder trembled the earth as they stampeded. WOW what a site ! We were doing about 18 mi. per hour as I looked at my cyclometer. this went on for a minute but seemed forever. there I was side by side. I could feel the power and energy that these beasts possessed. It was a terrifying rush. Whew, survived that
